Places to go and see in the Cookstown area:
Cookstown’s key play park is located at Fairhill Road, Cookstown. It received a state of the art refurbishment and extension and was offically opened in October 2014.
The park provides an exceptional play facility for children of all ages and abilities and is one of the best in Northern Ireland. The toddlers and younger kids have a separated area from the main park as you enter the play area. This area includes a swing, seesaw, climbing frame, bouncy chair and also sound making equipment to educate the children with music and animal noises.
The area for older children is more advanced and testing of different abilities. It includes large climbing frames, slides, swings, balancing logs, and for the very brave and adventurous kids the ultimate dome!!
Adjacent to the park is the town's outdoor bowling green and one new tennis court is available for any Andy Murray wantabes.
A new public toilet facility, which is fully accessible with RADAR key provision is on site, in addition to disabled parking area and ample car parking facilities for visitors to the three areas.
